China is a very large country in Asia. For many years throughout its history, China was cut off from the rest of the world, so the rest of the world did not know what was happening in China. China's system of government is called Communism. Communism was introduced during a time called The Cultural Revolution. Many Chinese people do not worship a God like in other Asian countries. During the Cultural Revolution, religions were not encouraged in China. However, Buddhism, Taoism, Islam and Christianity are followed by many Chinese.
