Christian Ceremonies

Eucharist

The night before the Christian Saviour, Jesus Christ, died, he shared a Last Supper with his followers, who were called disciples. He broke bread and said to his disciples: "Do this in memory of me. This is my body." He then poured wine and said to them: "Do this in memory of me." This is my blood."

Christians gather in churches and celebrate this ceremony. It is called The Eucharist. This ceremony is celebrated by priests, bishops or cardinals, who are designated officials of the Christian Church. It is their main job to celebrate the Eucharist daily, and especially on Sunday which is the Holy Day in the Christian Church.
